Finish types
- Mirror: polished to a reflective shine — elevator interiors, feature panels.
- Hairline / brushed: soft directional texture — cladding, kitchen surfaces, high-touch areas.
- Etched: a textured pattern etched into the surface — decorative panels, elevator cabins.
- PVD-coloured: a thin coating process that adds colour (gold, rose-gold, black, bronze) while keeping the steel's durability — increasingly popular for interior feature work.
- Embossed: a raised pattern pressed into the sheet — used for decorative wall panels.
Where thickness matters
Thinner sheet suits cladding and decorative panels where the material isn't load-bearing; thicker sheet/plate is used where the material itself needs structural rigidity (counters, heavier fabrication). Tell us the application and we'll recommend a gauge.
