Stainless Steel EV Charging Station Enclosures

EV infrastructure is new territory for most fabricators — but the material logic is familiar: outdoor exposure, public handling, long service life.

Stainless steel enclosure structure for EV charging infrastructure

Why stainless steel fits this application

EV charging points sit outdoors permanently, get handled by the public daily, and need to look presentable for years without maintenance budget attention — this is the same combination of full weather exposure and durability demand covered in our climate guide, just applied to a newer use case.

What we fabricate for this use case

Protective enclosures, bollards, signage stands and canopy structures (see our canopy guide) around charging equipment — the electrical hardware itself comes from specialized EV equipment manufacturers; our role is the surrounding structural and protective steelwork.

Grade and finish considerations

304 grade with a matte/hairline finish is typically appropriate — public-facing infrastructure benefits from a finish that resists visible fingerprints and scuffs (see our anti-fingerprint coating guide) rather than a high-maintenance mirror finish.

An emerging, still-small category

We're honest that this is a newer application for us as EV infrastructure grows in Rajasthan — if you're a developer or municipal contractor working on charging infrastructure, we're glad to discuss specific requirements as this category develops.
