How this differs from architectural fabrication
Sculptural and art pieces aren't bound by the safety-spacing, load-bearing and functional requirements that govern railings and gates — the design brief is purely aesthetic, which means the fabrication conversation is different: more about interpreting a concept than meeting a spec.
Working from a design
Custom art pieces typically start from a sketch, reference image, or close collaboration on concept — unlike our standard product pages, this is genuinely bespoke work priced per project.
Finish as part of the artistic statement
Mirror, matte, PVD colour, or even deliberately textured/oxidised finishes can all be part of the artistic intent for a sculptural piece — finish choice here is a creative decision, not primarily a durability one.
Scale considerations
Larger installations need structural engineering consideration (wind load for outdoor pieces, mounting for indoor ones) beyond the artistic design — we handle this as part of custom fabrication for larger works.
Bring us a concept or reference and we'll discuss feasibility and quote.
