What column cladding actually is
Rather than replacing a structural column, cladding wraps a thin stainless steel skin around the existing concrete or steel column — the structure does the load-bearing work, the cladding does the visual work, which keeps cost and installation disruption low relative to the visual impact.
Finish options
Mirror finish is popular for column cladding specifically, since a reflective wrap on a vertical column reads as genuinely dramatic in lobbies and entrances — though it comes with the higher-maintenance tradeoffs covered in our finish guide. PVD gold and bronze tones are also common for hospitality and retail entrances.
