What actually drives price movement
Global nickel prices (a key input for 304/316 grades), currency exchange rates for imported material, domestic demand cycles in construction, and shipping/freight costs all feed into the pricing mechanics covered in our pricing guide — these move independently and sometimes offset each other.
Why we don't publish price predictions
Nickel and steel commodity markets are genuinely volatile and influenced by factors well beyond what any regional supplier can forecast reliably — a confident price prediction from a supplier blog is more marketing than honest analysis, and we'd rather not pretend otherwise.
What we can tell you
Current pricing for your specific grade, quantity and finish, quoted at the time you actually order — see our quotation guide for how to read what we send you.
Practical advice regardless of trend direction
If your project timeline allows it, locking in a quote before starting a larger order protects you from short-term volatility either way — ask us about quote validity windows when you're ready to move on a project.
