Why this happens so often here
Groundwater across much of Rajasthan carries a higher mineral content than many other regions — when hard water dries on a steel surface rather than being wiped off, it leaves behind visible white mineral deposits, especially noticeable on darker or mirror finishes.
The simple fix
A mix of white vinegar and water, applied with a soft cloth and wiped in the direction of the brushed grain (or gently for mirror finish), dissolves most mineral deposits without damaging the surface — rinse with plain water afterward and dry immediately.
Prevention beats repeated cleaning

What not to use
Avoid strong acidic descalers meant for bathroom tiles — these can be too aggressive for steel finishes. Vinegar diluted with water is gentle enough for regular use; stronger chemicals should stay reserved for genuinely stubborn buildup, and even then, spot-test first.
